Dispensing fees to fall 24p from April 1

Dispensing fees will fall by an average of 23.75p (9.9 per cent) from April 1, in order to deliver the agreed dispensing envelope of total dispensing fees for England (and applied to Wales).

The April feescale (also referred to as a theoretical feescale) is applied part way through the negotiated dispensing envelope year in order to correct any emerging under-or overspends compared to the agreed dispensing envelope. When effective, this reduces the likelihood of a large adjustment in the October feescale.

The new feescale from April 2021, which replicates the changes made in April 2020, is as follows:
