The Dispensing Doctor Home Delivery Service will be extended from Thursday 1 July 2021 to Thursday 30 September 2021 (inclusive) for anyone living in England who has been notified by NHS Test and Trace to self-isolate.

Only self-isolators that provide an NHS Test and Trace Account ID reference number when requesting the service are eligible to receive it and this should be recorded by the practice for post-payment verification purposes.

It remains the case that, where possible, a friend, relative, carer or volunteer should be asked to collect medicines. The NHS Volunteer Responders Programme also remains active and all shielding, self-isolating and/or otherwise vulnerable patients can access this support by calling 0808 196 3646.

A letter from NHS England details the service specification and claim form for the Dispensing Doctor Home Delivery Service.
