The introduction of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) has challenged GP dispensaries to adapt to a ‘new normal’: patients have been encouraged to go digital first for their prescriptions opening the door for patients to use online pharmacies for their home-delivered supplies.

So, what can practices do to compete against the growing number of internet pharmacies with their huge advertising budgets, bold social media campaigns and patient push ordering, while ensuring a prescribing system that is safe and efficient?

In a presentation to the DDA Live 2020 annual conference, on  Wednesday 14 October  at 1.15pm, Mark Stone, GP practice partner, will be on hand to advise practices how they can protect and nurture their dispensing service. There will also be a Q&A session to answer delegates’ own practice queries.

The entire online DDA conference programme includes a DDA Exhibition Room (open daily 12-5, except during DDA presentations), where registered delegates will also be able to ask questions of the DDA Board, and to visit the conference exhibitors, whose support makes these free events possible.
