Dispensing doctors in England are reminded that the NHS COVID-19 home delivery service will end on Friday 31 July.
Claims for payment will only be accepted until 5 August 2020.
Shielded patients have been advised about changes to the service, however, practices may find it useful to remind affected patients by adapting this patient leaflet, published by PSNC. Practices are reminded that GMS regulations prohibit GPs from charging for services such as home delivery.
In Wales, the shielded patients’ medicine home delivery service will end on September 30, although from August 16, people in the shielding group can go to work or to school and go shopping.
