As of 1 June, NHS England and NHS Improvement, and Primary Care Support England  expect to restore the full market entry (pharmacy application) function, as redeployed staff return to their usual roles.

Market entry applications in England were suspended from 25 March to enable the COVID-19 pandemic response.

It is anticipated that applications may still take longer than the regulatory timescales to process, due to backlog.
