Three drugs added to shared care protocol consultation

A second set of draft shared care protocols have been published by the Regional Medicines Optimisation Committee (RMOC).

The latest update for consultation covers the following three medicines:

  • Methylphenidate in adults
    • Lisdexamfetamine in adults
    • Dexamfetamine in adults

The consultation aims to inform draft RMOC guidance, Shared Care for Medicines Guidance – a Standard Approach”, and it aims to represent the minimum information required to support safe, effective sharing of prescribing of the specified drugs.
Consultation closes at 5pm on Thursday 15 July.

Shared care proposals for four additional drugs are out for consultation, ending on Friday 11 June. This consultation covers:

  • Amiodarone
  • Dronedarone
  • Lithium
  • Valproate medicines in women of child-bearing potential.
